  • Strategic planning for destinations in pursuit of building sustainable community experiences;
  • Community-based experiences include travel to small towns and villages where assets such as accommodation and tourism services are locally owned and managed (by the community) and where benefits of tourism are distributed widely; and
  • It is meant to improve the economic, social, environmental and cultural well-being of a village, co-operative or collective of families or small businesses.

Lived with my family as part of the Sunshine Coast, BC community for over thirty years.

Co-creator and organizer for the Malibu Arts Retreats. The development of an innovative social enterprise partnership with Coast Cultural Alliance for Sunshine Coast arts and cultural. Matched guests to arts instructors in areas of visual, performing, written, video, and culinary disciplines.

Community-based development with World Wildlife Fund to develop capacity and marketing for ecolodges in three communities in Costa Rica (Monte Los Olivos, La Fortuna, Bijagua).

project tiger india .Experiential program designer on Nature-based discoveries for; Metro Toronto Zoo (British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, Indonesia, Costa Rica); University of Mary Washington (Belize/Guatemala); Royal Ontario Museum (Ecuador & the Galapagos Islands); John G Shedd Aquarium, Chicago (Quebec); Sierra Club of California; the American Birding Association (British Columbia); and World Wildlife Fund (Costa Rica). Pre and post sustainability initiatives for the globally based Round-Square network of Secondary Schools (Coastal British Columbia).

Developed voluntourism projects for whale researchers in both the Atlantic and Pacific waters.
