Catherine Evans is an educator, consultant, entrepreneur, and explorer with over 35 years of local and international experience including building nature discovery programs for zoos, museums, aquariums, and educational institutions. I worked as the lead and co-lead on a wide array of business and community projects for the Sunshine Coast Canada, and international destinations in Latin America and Asia.
The tourism industry has shifted post-pandemic, and in the wake of shifting environmental and cultural landscapes. I am keenly interested in the emerging trends found in community-based tourism and how sustainable practices lessen the impact on the places, wildlife, and peoples.
Currently, I'm developing and teaching graduate-level curricula for the next generation of industry talent. And, I enjoy writing ‘Stories’ that focus on Green development, Nature and Wildlife, and Culture and Communities
